in the capitol .... counting the cost

late thursday night found karen and i in alexandria virginia, at the home of our son corry and his wife carly. after a good night sleep we awoke on friday morning to be officially greeted by our hosts for the weekend. their townhouse home sets snugly in a wooded area off one of the main streets in alexandria . after a nice lunch at a local restaurant "noodles" we drove to our nations national cemetery "arlington". we saw this photo that was taken of a small rock atop a fallen soldier's tomb stone. after a great day of reflection and sightseeing, and miles of walking we returned to the home of our children to enjoy a fantastic steak dinner, prepared by our hosts.
