on the road again

for the past few months my work has brought me to the Wilson North Carolina area (about 1 hour north east of Raleigh). i've always looked forward to being in this area, mainly for the local selection of eating establishments. my previous trips back to this area were mostly project related and only lasted two or three days. lately though my travels back to this area have had a different purpose. i've come here at the request of our local manufacturing plant to train as a back-up for one of the technical personal. last year this plant found that they did not have back-up personal in place in some of their key positions. i've also learned that this person i'm being trained to back-up will likely retire with the next year. hummmmm ??? i can only wonder what effect this looming retirement will have on karen and i.
